    Colectivo 1050 Grados worked with artisans for two years to develop a technique to make flat surfaces with the black clay of the Oaxacan community. This collection is a result of research and knowledge discovered. The Plate La Negra is inspired by traditional comales from ancient Tlapazola and sits beautifully beneath Colectivo 1050 Grados' Americano Cup La Negra.

      Material: Black Clay

      Item Dimension: 4" Diameter

      Care: With use this piece will naturally patina over time changing slightly in color and texture. Contact with oils will accelerate this process. To avoid sweating “cure” your piece(s) for 24 hours in salt water prior to use. After use, carefully wash with a lukewarm sponge and soap. We do not advise using a microwave or dishwasher. Avoid leaving piece(s) in water for more than three days as this could cause them to soften and break.
